Spring-Let with Magnetic Tips HOW TO SET 1/8" EYELETS USING SPRING-LET ANYWHERE HOLE PUNCH - SETTER SETS: 1. Put the 1/8" hole punch tip in the tool and position it where you would like your eyelet. Hold the tool firmly by the griping sleeve, pull up on the ball and let go. 2. Place the eyelet face down. Place the material, with the hole punched in it, face down over the eyelet. Then place a washer, smooth side up, over the eyelet. 3. Put the 1/8" setter tip on the tool. Place it on top of the washer, centered on the back of the eyelet. Hold the tool firmly by the griping sleeve, pull up on the ball and let it go. This step may need to be repeated. How far to stretch the spring is something that is learned by experimenting. A lesser put will enable you project to be kinetic, a greater pull will lock the eyelet permanently. Do not pull up more than one inch. It is not how high you pull, rather how quick you let go that sets the eyelet. |
